Good first scope: A defined set of pages/features, scoped before quoting to avoid drift.
DevOps / Deployment Setup
Dockerizing an existing app, setting up CI/CD, configuring Nginx/Gunicorn, deploying to AWS (ECS/EC2/S3/RDS) or GCP (VM + Nginx).
Evidence: AWS ECS/Fargate deployments, GCP VM + Nginx in production, Docker across every recent role.
Good first scope: Dockerize an app and set up a basic CI/CD pipeline — well-bounded, fast turnaround.
Bug Fixes / Small Maintenance
Fixing specific bugs, small feature additions, code review, refactoring a module.
Evidence: Lowest-risk way to start working together before committing to something larger.
Good first scope: Anything under 5-10 hours with a clearly described bug.
PRICING
Quoted per project, not off a menu
Hourly for open-ended or ongoing work, fixed price for well-scoped projects — whichever fits the shape of the work.
Every project is quoted after a quick call or a written brief, never blind and never off a rate card that assumes every project looks the same. Tell me what you need and you'll get a real number for it.
